More information about the Showcase Recital. Rehearsal is Saturday, March 6. You should arrive at Boutwell Auditorium at 8:30 AM.

The address for Boutwell is 1930 8th Avenue North, Birmingham, 35203. It is across from Linn Park and next to the Birmingham Museum of Art. Rehearsal will last until 11:00 AM.

The Concert is Sunday, March 7th at 3:00 PM. It is free and open to the public so invite friends and family! All AYS members should arrive at Boutwell at 2:00 PM to tune/warm up.

For the reception - you are responsible for bringing:
Violins: 2 liters EACH of Coke or Diet Coke
Violas, Cellos, Bass: 2 liters EACH of Lemonade
Woodwinds: 2 liters EACH of Sprite or Mountain Dew
Brass/Percussion: 2 liters EACH of a Fruit-flavored Beverage

I NEED volunteers to be song chaperones and help with the reception. Song chaperones should attend String Academy rehearsal on Saturday from 1:00-3:00 PM. Each chaperone is paired with a song group and will stay with them throughout the rehearsal and concert on Sunday. For the reception, I need assistance with setup and cleanup. Please let me know immediately if you are available.

Following the concert on Sunday: 1) We will collect ALL parts for Zampa, Mozart, and Vivaldi. 2) The percussion section will be responsible for helping me move percussion back to Phillips.
