THE PURPOSE
of the Music Opportunity Program is to involve young people with string instruments, through meaningful educational experiences, which will result in a life-long love of orchestra music, and a continuing involvement with the performing arts.
REACHING OUT
to students who otherwise have no availabilty to this type of music education, hence the name... Music Opportunity Program
THE MUSIC OPPORTUNITY PROGRAM
has instructional programs throughout the greater Birmingham area, and a scholarship program to help those families in need. More than 400 students are enrolled in the two MOP Divisions which are
1) the Instrument Instruction Division
2) the Youth Orchestra Division.
OPPORTUNITIES
abound for our students, including chamber music, full orchestra, and solo performances throughout the year. Our faculty, both knowledgable and nurturing, offer the highest level of instruction from a wealth of experience. |
